Georgia football has secured another key commitment for the Class of 2026, this time from four-star interior offensive lineman. Following an official visit to Athens over the weekend, Helton announced his decision to join the Bulldogs, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
Heading into his visit, Georgia was viewed as the favorite, but he was also considering Georgia Tech, Florida State, and Alabama — the program he had previously committed to. The Bulldogs ultimately won out, landing the No. 41-ranked offensive lineman in the 2026 class.
Helton’s pledge is especially significant given his former ties to Alabama, making the flip a notable win for Kirby Smart and his staff. Helton cited the strong connection he felt during his Athens visit with both coaches and players as a key factor in his decision.
In a message to Georgia fans, Helton expressed his excitement:

This commitment adds to what has already been a strong week for Georgia’s offensive line recruiting. Just two days earlier, the Bulldogs landed three-star lineman Zachary Lewis from Suwanee, Georgia.
Although Helton isn’t the top-ranked lineman in his class, his offer list speaks volumes about his talent. Beating out Alabama, Florida State, and in-state rival Georgia Tech gives Georgia plenty of reason to celebrate — especially since the Bulldogs will face two of those programs on the field in the near future.
With recent offensive additions like four-star quarterback Jared Curtis, it’s clear that Smart is focused on building a balanced, high-powered team for the future — one that can match its defensive prowess with an equally formidable offense.
