BREAKING: Georgia’ Jamie Hunt Lands Top Star Who Currently Holds A 12.99 Universal Tennis Rating.

French tennis standout  is set to join the Georgia Bulldogs for the 2025–26 season, head coach Jamie Hunt announced Monday.

“Raph is an incredibly driven and hardworking player with sky-high goals,” Hunt said. “He’s got a bright future ahead of him, and we’re excited to watch him grow in our program while representing the Red and Black. He fits exactly what we look for in a student-athlete.”

Hailing from Paris, France, Vaksmann brings an impressive résumé to Athens, including a career-high ITF juniors ranking of 167 and a top ATP singles ranking of 1,414. His current Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) sits at 12.99. He also competed in both singles and doubles at the 2024 Roland-Garros Junior Championships.

 

In a recent highlight, Vaksmann defeated ATP World No. 406 Matthew Dellavadova in the round of 32 at the M25 Saint Dizier event.

Vaksmann will join incoming freshmen Noah Johnston and Gus Almeida, part of a 2025 recruiting class ranked No. 3 nationally by the Tennis Recruiting Network. Georgia also welcomes transfers Derrick Chen, Santiago Giamichelle, and Will Jansen this fall.
