Arkansas got a boost on Friday morning with the commitment of 2026 tight end from Pflugerville, Texas, as announced on his X (formerly Twitter) account.
Standing 6-foot-4 and weighing 250 pounds, he is ranked No. 438 overall in the 2026 class, No. 20 among tight ends, and No. 60 among athletes, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. He chose Arkansas over a host of offers, including Houston, Arizona State, Texas Tech, Cal, Duke, Oregon State, Maryland, UNLV, and many others.

Martin is a complete tight end — he has reliable hands, underrated toughness as a blocker, and the versatility to line up in multiple roles within the passing game. He also brings impressive speed, allowing him to separate from defenders. As a junior, he hauled in 51 receptions for 804 yards and 11 touchdowns. His breakout came during his sophomore season in 2023 when he caught 37 passes for 557 yards and two scores.
Tight ends coach Morgan Turner, now in his third year, added three transfers during the winter portal period to diversify the position group: Rohan Jones (Montana State), Jeremiah Beck (JUCO), and Jaden Platt (Texas A&M).
Martin joins fellow 2026 tight end commit Kade Bush, a 3-star in-state prospect who pledged to the Razorbacks on March 27. Bush, who is 6-foot-5 and 220 pounds, saw his recruitment take off in 2025 with offers from Arkansas, Kansas State, Washington State, Utah, Utah State, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa State, and Northwestern.

Arkansas is also set to host another top 2026 tight end, Kai Wesley, for an official visit during a busy recruiting weekend in late May. With Martin’s commitment, Arkansas’s 2026 class has risen to No. 3 in the SEC and No. 15 nationally according to 247Sports.
Under head coach Sam Pittman, Arkansas has previously brought in multiple freshman tight ends in the same cycle — most recently in 2023 with the signings of Luke Hasz and Shamar Easter.
Before Dowell Loggains left Arkansas to become South Carolina’s offensive coordinator, he secured a commitment from Kansas 4-star Jaden Hamm. But after Loggains’ departure, Hamm flipped and signed with his home-state Kansas Jayhawks.
Offensively, Arkansas thrived under new offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino in 2024. The Razorbacks ranked No. 10 nationally in total offense, averaging 460 yards per game. They also racked up 246 plays of 10 yards or more — third-most in the FBS — a major leap from just 139 such plays in 2023, which ranked 108th.
