The 2025 NFL Draft has wrapped up, but the Baltimore Ravens are far from finished. Over the three-day event, the Ravens made 11 selections—enough to field a small team of rookies—but that didn’t stop General Manager Eric DeCosta and the front office from immediately diving into undrafted free agency.
It might seem excessive to add even more players after drafting so many, but this is the Ravens we’re talking about. No team in the NFL takes the undrafted free agent (UDFA) process more seriously, and few teams have a better track record of finding overlooked talent and turning it into key contributors.
Baltimore’s success with UDFAs is well-established. From stars like Priest Holmes and Gus Edwards to current Defensive Coordinator Zach Orr, the Ravens have built a tradition of finding hidden gems. It’s a big reason why their roster remains one of the deepest in the league year after year.
With a few depth concerns still lingering—particularly along the defensive line—the Ravens wasted no time hitting the phones to bring in their first wave of undrafted rookies.

Among the more notable additions is linebacker Jay Higgins from Iowa, who had a standout 2024 season, recording four interceptions and earning All-American honors. Despite his smaller frame, Higgins’ 295 tackles and nine passes defended over the past two years showcase his ability in both run support and pass coverage—a potential boost for a slightly thin linebacker group.
Another intriguing name is Rutgers defensive back Desmond Igbinosun. At 6’2″ and 213 pounds, he started eight games last year and recorded 53 tackles. Though not flashy, he’s a steady, physical player with strong football instincts—a profile the Ravens traditionally covet, especially for special teams.
Running back Sone Ntoh from Monmouth also stands out. He led the FCS with 25 rushing touchdowns in 2024 and offers a powerful, downhill running style at 5’11” and 235 pounds. Given Derrick Henry’s short-term status with the team, Ntoh could eventually carve out a meaningful role.
Lastly, Jared Penning, whose older brother Trevor was a first-round pick of the Saints, is worth watching. Penning’s versatility—playing both inside and outside on the offensive line—echoes the skill set of former Raven Patrick Mekari.
