Jalen Hurts had an awkward moment with a reporter who asked whether he planned to attend the Philadelphia Eagles’ upcoming White House visit.
The 26-year-old quarterback led the team to victory in the 2025 Super Bowl back in February.
It’s tradition for the Super Bowl champions to visit the White House, though there was uncertainty over whether the Eagles would go this year, especially since they declined an invitation in 2018 during President Donald Trump’s first term.

The team officially accepted the invitation in March, with ESPN reporting the visit is scheduled for April 28.
While at the TIME100 Gala on Thursday, April 24, Hurts was asked by TIME whether he would be attending with his teammates.
“Umm,” he responded, glancing away from the camera with a hesitant smile and visibly uncomfortable demeanor. He didn’t elaborate, leading the reporter to respond, “Got it. Thank you so much,” as Hurts appeared to walk off.
