The Oklahoma Sooners are aiming to fill a key need on their football roster—and possibly get a special teams boost in the process.
He is a former BYU wide receiver and standout returner, announced on X (formerly Twitter) Saturday that he received an offer from OU after entering the transfer portal.
Marion, who will likely have one year of eligibility remaining, is entering his fifth season of college football. He began his career with two years at UConn before transferring to BYU, where he played the last two seasons.

In 2023, the 6-foot receiver recorded 24 receptions for 346 yards and a touchdown. His most productive season as a pass catcher came during his freshman year at UConn, when he notched 28 catches for 474 yards and five touchdowns, all career highs.
Marion is also a dynamic asset on special teams, earning All-American honors and being named the Big 12 Kick Returner of the Year last season. He totaled 472 kick return yards and two touchdowns on 18 returns, and also added five rushing touchdowns during his time with BYU, further displaying his versatility.
Since entering the transfer portal for the third time on Friday, Marion has also reported offers from Kentucky, Arkansas, Miami, Arizona State, and SMU, all within his first day of availability.

OU is actively looking to add depth at wide receiver during this brief spring portal window, though options are limited. The Sooners have also reportedly expressed interest in Illinois State wideout Xavier Loyd.
So far this spring, new general manager Jim Nagy and the Sooners have picked up two transfers: Stanford offensive lineman Jake Maikkula and Cal running back Jaydn Ott, both officially announced Tuesday evening. Ott, the top-rated running back in the portal, also brings return-game skills similar to Marion.
The spring transfer window closes Friday, and won’t reopen again until December after the conclusion of the college football regular season.
