Arkansas’ 2026 recruiting class has reached 12 commitments following the addition of defensive tackle Carnell Jackson from Auburn, Alabama. The 6-foot-3, 318-pound lineman made his announcement on Monday, just a day after telling HawgSports that Arkansas had emerged as the frontrunner in his recruitment.
Jackson’s commitment comes shortly after his first unofficial visit to Fayetteville, with plans to return for an official 48-hour visit on June 13. He chose Arkansas and defensive line coach Deke Adams over offers from Memphis, Tulane, UAB, East Carolina, Arkansas State, Ball State, and several others.
Jackson becomes the Razorbacks’ first defensive tackle signee from Alabama since Darius Philon in 2012 and is just the third interior defensive lineman from the state to commit to Arkansas in the online rankings era (since 2002).
Rated as a three-star recruit by 247Sports, Jackson ranks as the No. 111 defensive tackle nationally and the No. 46 overall prospect in Alabama for the 2026 class.

The Razorbacks’ 2026 class also includes commitments from a range of prospects across the country, including three-star quarterback Jayvon Gilmore (Gaffney, S.C.), wide receiver Dequane Prevo (Texarkana, TX), offensive lineman Tucker Young (Hot Springs, AR), cornerbacks Jack Duckworth (Rockwall, TX) and Jalon Copeland (Valdosta, GA), four-star edge rusher Colton Yarbrough (Durant, OK), safeties Adam Austin (Lawton, OK), Tay Lockett (San Diego, CA), and unranked prospect Kyndrick Williams (Fayetteville, AR).
With recruiting in full swing, Arkansas is also preparing for the spring transfer portal window, which opens Wednesday and runs through Friday, April 26. The Hogs will be looking to address key roster needs during what promises to be a busy period.
