On Friday, the Fort Smith product notched his third triple-double of the season in the Thunder’s dominant 145-111 win over the Utah Jazz. He tallied 15 points, 10 assists, and 11 rebounds, adding a block and a steal to his stat line.
To date, only 14 NBA players have logged at least three triple-doubles this season—putting Williams ahead of 96% of the league’s 450 players in that category. Known early in his career for his charge-taking prowess, some critics once dismissed him as one-dimensional.
Now, he’s proving otherwise, stacking up triple-doubles in just over a month while playing for one of the league’s top teams. And he’s doing it with flair—frequently seen throwing himself alley-oops off the glass for highlight-reel dunks, all while clearly enjoying himself on the floor.

In Friday’s blowout 145-111 win over the Utah Jazz, the Fort Smith product recorded his third triple-double of the year, posting 15 points, 10 assists, and 11 rebounds, along with a block and a steal.

Oklahoma City has been nothing short of dominant this season, finishing with a 68-14 record and clinching the Western Conference by a 16-game margin. The Thunder set a new NBA record for point differential, outscoring opponents by 1,055 points and breaking the 1971-72 Lakers’ record average margin of victory. OKC now averages 12.9 more points per game than its opponents, eclipsing the previous mark of 12.3.
As the top seed, the Thunder await the winner of the play-in matchup between the Golden State Warriors and the Memphis Grizzlies. However, Williams’ status is uncertain after suffering an ankle injury during Sunday’s game against New Orleans, putting his availability for the start of the playoffs in question.
