In the AdmiralBet ABA League this past season, he posted averages of 10.8 points on 50.3% shooting (32.3% from three on 2.8 attempts), along with 7.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.0 steals, and 0.7 blocks across 27.4 minutes per game.
During the 2023-24 season, he recorded 10.3 points, 7.6 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.4 steals, and 0.9 blocks per game while shooting 47.1% from the field and 28.7% from beyond the arc (on 3.6 attempts) over 31.7 minutes.
Jelavic truly shined during the playoffs, averaging 13.8 points on a stellar 70.4% shooting clip (44.4% from three on 2.3 attempts), along with 5.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 0.9 blocks in 32.5 minutes per game across four contests.
Standing 6-foot-11 and weighing 220 pounds, Jelavic will turn 21 next month and brings several years of international experience to Kentucky’s frontcourt — a much-needed addition for the Wildcats.
His arrival comes at a crucial time, as Jayden Quaintance is recovering from ACL surgery, Malachi Moreno will be entering his freshman year, and Brandon Garrison saw limited playing time last season.
