Georgia football is gradually gaining momentum on the recruiting front. While the Bulldogs haven’t secured a new commitment since losing one of their top pledges to Miami (FL) last weekend, they’ve still received encouraging developments from several prospects.
One of the biggest updates comes from a recruiting analyst’s official prediction in favor of Georgia.
Earlier this week, the Bulldogs were projected to land the No. 1 interior offensive lineman in the nation. Now, they’ve also been predicted to secure a commitment from another standout player.
Four-star safety Kaelan Jones
Kaelan Jones, a four-star safety from Marietta, Georgia, is currently ranked No. 29 at his position nationally and No. 46 overall in the state, according to Rivals.
Georgia has been pursuing Jones for quite some time, and it looks like that persistence might be paying off. Rivals recruiting expert Sam Spiegelman has officially predicted Jones to commit to the Bulldogs.
Adding to the buzz, Spiegelman noted that Jones is “set to come off the board this week.” With the week nearly over, the most likely time for a commitment would be G-Day, Georgia’s annual spring game set for this Saturday. This event traditionally wraps up spring practices and serves as a major recruiting showcase, drawing in top prospects from across the country.
Though Spiegelman didn’t confirm Jones will be there or commit then, all signs point to G-Day being a possible stage for his decision. If that happens, Georgia fans could have plenty to celebrate by the end of the weekend.
