BREAKING: Dawn Staley To Pull Off Another Major Transfer Portal Win By Landing Elite Sharpshooter For The Gamecocks.

Earlier this week, South Carolina secured a major addition from the transfer portal in standout guard Ta’Niya Latson for the 2025–26 season. Now, the buzz is growing even more with news of another high-profile transfer planning a visit to Columbia.

According to On3’s Talia Goodman, former Utah sharpshooter will be making visits to South Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas, and UCLA. Kneepkens, a 6-foot wing from Minnesota, spent four seasons with the Utes and still has one year of eligibility remaining after missing most of the 2023–24 season due to injury. Though eligible for the WNBA, she’s opted to return to the college game for one more year.

As a redshirt junior, Kneepkens posted impressive numbers, averaging 19.3 points, 5 assists, 3 rebounds, and 1 steal per game. She was remarkably efficient, shooting 50.4% from the field, 44.8% from three-point range, and 89.0% from the free-throw line. Along with her scoring ability, she’s also known for her ball-handling and rebounding skills.

Even if Kneepkens chooses a different destination, South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley remains committed to bolstering the roster through the transfer portal, especially with a focus on adding size in the post.
