The Alabama Crimson Tide entered the NCAA Tournament as the No. 2 seed in the East Region, with veteran guard Mark Sears leading the charge. After making a Final Four appearance the previous year, Alabama aimed for another deep postseason run. They opened the tournament strong, but their journey ended in the Elite Eight with a lopsided defeat to the Duke Blue Devils.
Despite the tough loss, Sears continued to capitalize on his Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities. He recently partnered with Planet Fitness, a national gym chain, promoting a special offer through their PF Mobile Black Card Spa®. “Planet Fitness brought the PF Mobile Black Card Spa® to basketball fans,” Sears shared. “Join now for just $1 down and get your first month FREE using code RR2025—offer ends April 8, 2025!”

This Planet Fitness deal adds to a growing list of NIL partnerships for Sears during the NCAA Tournament, which includes collaborations with OKeeffes, C4 Energy, TurboTax, Powerade, Cava, DoorDash, and Popeyes.
Throughout the season, Sears was a standout for Alabama, averaging 18.6 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game. He not only led the team in scoring but also solidified his reputation as one of the premier offensive players in college basketball.
