Alabama’s men’s basketball roster for the 2025–26 season is beginning to come together.
On Saturday, the university’s NIL collective, Yea Alabama, announced that three veteran players—Aden Holloway, Latrell Wrightsell Jr., and Houston Mallette—are returning. Earlier in the day, Yea Alabama had also confirmed the return of Aiden Sherrell.
Wrightsell and Mallette are expected to apply for medical redshirts after missing most of the past season due to injuries. Wrightsell suffered a torn Achilles in November during the Players Era Festival in Las Vegas, while Mallette was also sidelined for the majority of the season. Head coach Nate Oats previously indicated the team anticipates both players receiving approval to play another year.
With Holloway, Wrightsell, Mallette, and Sherrell all coming back, Alabama now has nine scholarship spots filled. The rest of the group includes incoming freshmen London Jemison, Davion Hannah, and Amari Allen, along with transfers Noah Williamson and Taylor Bol Bowen.
That leaves roughly four open scholarship spots, which could go to returning players or future transfer portal additions.
