BREAKING: Shane Beamer Stunning Update On Star QB LaNorris Sellers Sends Shockwaves To Fans And Whole SEC Community.

The South Carolina Gamecocks are six practices into their spring football workouts, with head coach Shane Beamer providing updates on quarterback LaNorris Sellers’ progress.

As the Gamecocks push through spring practice, expectations for the 2025 season are high, largely due to the return of Sellers as the starting quarterback. After playing in 12 games last season and playing a key role in the team’s success, he enters the new year with plenty of anticipation surrounding his development.

While Sellers is already considered one of the top returning quarterbacks in college football, there’s still room for growth. Beamer discussed his progress during a media session this week.

“As a passer, I think he’s done a great job and continues to improve,” Beamer said. “He made a lot of big-time throws last season, and I’ve seen him do the same this spring. When you think about it, he’s working with a lot of new receivers and tight ends. Jared Brown is back, along with Nyck Harbor and Mazeo, but beyond that, there are a lot of fresh faces at the receiver position. Tight end-wise, we have Brady (Hunt) and Mo Brown returning, but Jordan Dingle is new, so there’s an adjustment period in building chemistry.

“I’ve seen LaNorris develop as a passer, and I expect that to continue. He’s a dynamic playmaker. What Coach (Mike) Shula was referring to as well is understanding the game—making sure his footwork and timing are precise so the ball comes out on schedule. If the opportunity to run is there after going through his progressions, we’re all for it, but there are moments when we want him to make the throw rather than take off running.”
