Another significant transfer portal visit is on the horizon for the Kentucky Wildcats.

According to Travis Branham, Indiana Hoosiers forward is scheduled to visit Kentucky on Wednesday.

A former five-star recruit and McDonald’s All-American from the class of 2023, he originally committed to Duke before joining Indiana, where he has spent the past two seasons. Ranked 10th overall and the second-best power forward in his class, he also received offers from powerhouse programs such as Kentucky, Kansas, Auburn, North Carolina, Michigan, Ohio State, LSU, UConn, and UCLA.

This season, the 6-foot-9, 222-pound forward averaged 12.2 points on 43.7% shooting (32.9% from three), along with 4.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. As a freshman, he posted similar numbers, averaging 12.2 points on 39.5% shooting (32.7% from beyond the arc), 4.1 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per contest.

Indiana Basketball Newcomer Focus: Freshman forward Mackenzie Mgbako

Mgbako primarily played as a power forward this season after spending more time at small forward during the 2023-24 campaign, making him a versatile addition who could provide depth at multiple positions for Kentucky.

It will be interesting to see how the visit unfolds and whether Kentucky emerges as a top contender for his commitment.
