Ohio State football fans can breathe easy as five-star wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. has officially ended his recruitment process. Henry, who has been committed to the Buckeyes since July 2023, recently entertained interest from Oregon, even making a visit to Eugene. However, after weighing his options, he has reaffirmed his decision to play for Ohio State.
“BREAKING: Five-Star Ohio State WR commit Chris Henry Jr. has Shut Down his Recruitment, he tells me for @on3recruits,” Hayes Fawcett announced. “He has also cancelled his Official Visits to Oregon, USC, & Miami.”

Henry made it clear that Columbus is where he wants to be.
“I want to be in Columbus and I want to be a Buckeye,” he stated.
Ranked as a five-star recruit by 247Sports’ composite rankings, Henry is the No. 9 overall player in the 2026 class, the No. 2 wide receiver, and the No. 2 prospect in California. He currently plays for Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California.
