By “different ways,” Adofo-Mensah was referring to bringing in a veteran presence to challenge McCarthy in training camp, though not necessarily someone who would take over as the long-term starter. When asked directly about the type of quarterback they’re considering, Adofo-Mensah made it clear that Rodgers falls outside of that category, as his presence would inevitably push McCarthy into a backup role.
