If this scenario plays out, Azareye’h Thomas would reunite with former FSU wide receiver Keon Coleman in Orchard Park.

NFL Network Draft Analyst Chad Reuter discussed Thomas, the Bills, and the Vikings’ potential strategy with the 24th pick in his article:

“Buffalo trades up to secure Thomas’ 6-foot-1 1/4, 197-pound frame, sending their two fourth-round picks to Minnesota. While the Vikings could stay put and draft a defensive back themselves, they currently have only four total selections in this draft, so acquiring two early Day 3 picks might be worth moving down the board a bit.”

In Reuter’s mock draft, Thomas is the fourth cornerback off the board, following Travis Hunter (Colorado), Will Johnson (Michigan), and Jahdae Barron (Texas).

Despite some challenges during the 2024 season, Thomas was a standout for the Seminoles, starting all 12 games. He recorded 52 tackles, two tackles for loss, four pass deflections, and one interception. He also played the most snaps (755) of any Seminole defender, nearly 200 more than the next closest player, Patrick Payton (579).

If Thomas is selected in the first round, it would mark the second consecutive year—and the third time in four years—that Florida State has produced a top-32 pick.

The 2025 NFL Draft is scheduled to take place in Green Bay, Wisconsin, from April 24-26.
