The Downey (Calif.) native is scheduled to visit Boulder on June 20, making Colorado his final stop in the recruiting process. While many reports suggest Oklahoma State is currently leading, Kentucky and Virginia Tech are also in the running.
Colorado head coach Deion Sanders has a strong track record of recruiting top-tier talent, and landing Rios would be a huge boost for the Buffs’ future quarterback depth. Standing at 6-foot-3 and 175 pounds, Rios had an impressive season last year, completing 73% of his passes while showcasing his dual-threat ability. He threw for 2,554 yards and 22 touchdowns, along with 735 rushing yards and 11 rushing touchdowns.
Rios is a high-potential player with a smooth throwing motion, quick release, and exceptional downfield accuracy. His athleticism allows him to extend plays and challenge defenses with his mobility, making him a great fit for a modern spread offense. With a frame that can still add muscle, he possesses the physical tools to be a standout college quarterback.
