The Tennessee Titans hold the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, but for a while, their plans remained unclear. First-year general manager Mike Borgonzi has been particularly secretive about the team’s strategy. However, recent moves have started to reveal their intentions.
On his weekly podcast, ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter shared his thoughts on Tennessee’s draft approach, stating that the team appears set on keeping the top pick rather than trading down. “The Titans, so far, have not entertained any real offers,” Schefter noted.
Given their choices in free agency, many expect the Titans to draft Miami quarterback Cam Ward with the first pick. Instead of pursuing a veteran starter, they signed a career backup, signaling their preference for a young quarterback. Additionally, reports suggest Tennessee may trade Will Levis, further reinforcing the likelihood that they stay at No. 1 to secure their franchise QB.
Schefter also mentioned that both the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants, who hold the second and third picks, could be looking to trade up. However, for now, Tennessee appears uninterested. While it’s possible they are trying to increase the value of the pick for future trade leverage, the expectation is that the Titans will ultimately stay put and select Ward.
