Although four-star linebacker Shadarius Toodle is currently committed to Auburn, the highly regarded 2026 prospect is still exploring his options. Toodle, who pledged to the Tigers last July, recently announced plans to take official visits to five schools this summer.
Discussing his decision to take multiple visits, Toodle told On3 Sports that he wants to be completely sure of his choice.
“I just want to be absolutely certain when choosing college for the next 3 to 4 years,” he said.
His summer visits will begin with trips to Georgia and Michigan on May 16 and May 30, respectively, followed by a stop at Florida on June 6. He will then visit Auburn and Baylor over the following two weeks. Standing 6-foot-3 and weighing 210 pounds, Toodle had an impressive junior season at Cottage Hill Christian Academy, recording 157 tackles, including 13 for loss, and two sacks. According to 247 Sports’ composite rankings, he is rated as the eighth-best linebacker and the No. 100 overall prospect in the 2026 class.
Florida co-defensive coordinator Ron Roberts has been actively recruiting Toodle. With the Gators set to have a strong linebacker unit in 2025, adding Toodle could further solidify their defensive depth for both the immediate future and long-term success.
